Why I do MY business differently?

....you don't have to work yourself into the ground to achieve what you want in your business or your life for that matter (even though it sometimes feels like that).
I knew what I wanted when I started my business - to help people! I wanted to help them get more organised in their business and see them be able to grow and expand just from having my help. I'd done it before so many times as a PA working for CEO's and MD's and helping them create an organisation that allowed them to be bigger and better.
As a business owner I knew that I wanted:
to create a positive change,
to spend more time with my kids,
have more money to have more choices,
to not have to ask my boss when I wanted to nip out!
to be there for my children when they got home from school
But running a business is so much more harder than I ever thought it would be...I have never worked so hard, but I wouldn't have it any other way!
There were a few things that I hadn't thought about:
Social media (the biggest one for me)
Website
Email marketing
Graphics
Onboarding clients
Finances...and way much more 😝
I have needed to find new levels of discipline, self-motivation and even up my organisation to a level that I have never experienced before.
But the thing that surprised me the most about being in the online space was watching others can bring challenges and self doubt like I've never experienced before and it's been one hell of a learning curve.
My dad has always said I am the 'stubborn' one and I suppose I am (well I am a Taurus after all!). But being stubborn is not necessarily a bad thing - well I would say that wouldn't I 😊 But being stubborn means you dig deep, you fight for what you want and that is NOT a bad thing!
But I knew I wanted to do my business differently.....I didn't want to be the same as everyone else and I have fought hard to try and fight the demons in my head that say ''you should do it like them'' or ''that's clearly the way it should be done as everyone else is doing it like that'' or even ''that's why you are not successful because you need to do it like this!'
BUT STOP.....it's ok to do business differently and it's taken a while but I keep pushing to stand out from the crowd, not going down the same path as everyone else, pushing the boundaries and being me.
Let's be honest....before you started your business had you even uttered these sayings or words before in your life as an employee or with friends?:
Launching
Freebies
Lead magnets (basically hooking someone in!)
Funnels
Zone of genius
High ticket
Mindset
Journaling
Being authentic
The hustle
Ideal clients
But being online and being part of social media for your business, these phrases are the norm and they can be very overwhelming! and come on let's face it you don't speak like this to our friends and family do we?
One of the things you see very often in the 'online space' is launching! #ifyouknowyouknow
The pressure in the online space to 'launch'... you know, the one when people are all high energy, jazz hands and selling limited spaces, grab it now before the price increase etc?
I'm exhausted just thinking about it.
But the pressure is there and I've been wondering for months (well years) why I find Instagram so hard... and it's because launching is not for me. I'm never going to be 'that' person, but I always feel like I'm supposed to be jazz hands daily in order to make the sales.

For my fellow introverts, I want to let you know as I stand (well sit at my desk) today, my business is still making money and I've never done a jazz hands launch yet and I never will.
There is another way....
And the other way is just being you and doing exactly what you want in your business, the way you want it, the way it feels comfortable and stand out from the crowd...it's liberating.
So how do I stand out from the crowd?
My passion is Dubsado and helping other small businesses setup Dubsado in their business.
